DSDTsDSDTs are essential parts of ACPI. You must have a working (at least partially), valid DSDT for your machine in order to properly handle ACPI events and devices. When I started working on ACPI on my Dell 300m laptop in September 2003, I could not find a valid DSDT for it. I had to make my own. This is a process that I hope you will not have to do. Below is the DSDT I made and a few from other thoughtful people who sent in their own. First, here is the DSDT I made: source / compiled. Oren Laadan emailed me his DSDT, which he got working for a machine with 384MB Ram and BIOS A07: source / compiled. Chris Cowart emailed me his DSDT, which he got working for a machine with 384MB Ram and BIOS A07: compiled. A friend of mine with a 300m had luck with this DSDT.
